The owner and ride master at Spanish Rural Bliss is 57 years old Alan Baxter
Alan has been riding horses since he was three years of age and has ridden all over the world and on many varied types of horse, from Borneo pony to Shire horse, Thorough bred to Irish draft and now the magnificently dramatic Andalucian.
Alan’s father left school at fourteen and started work driving six horses in hand on Liverpool docks carrying goods unloaded from the ships. He was taught by some very knowledgeable old time “masters of horse”.
He was latter very proud to have been chosen to drive a Landau coach carrying the military chiefs of staff during the coronation of Queen Elizabeth 11.
From a very early age Alan become fascinated with the horse and his father passed on his vast amount of knowledge and horse skills to him. Alan is a firm believer in natural horsemanship much taught to him by his father. Alan also follows the teachings of Pat & Linda Parelli’s teachings on working naturally with horses.
Alan’s aim at Spanish Rural Bliss is to take riders of many varied standards of horse riding and try to add to their confidence and ability. whilst enjoying the experience of this challenging Spanish countryside on the backs of his Andalucian horses.



Ulises was born in Fuente Vera and farms much of the land that can be seen from Cuevas Jimenez the home of Spanish Rural Bliss.
Ulises has ridden these goat trails on horse and mule since he was a young boy and has immense amount of knowledge of all the plants and animals that we may encounter on our treks.
